Department of Regional Environment The University Art Center of the Faculty of Regional Scicences provides training for students in the area of culture and the arts, works closely with local communities in the region, carries out education and research aimed at promoting, developing and maintaining regional arts, and works to support a variety of regional contributions in the field of art and culture.

Members of the Center are active in promoting and supporting activities in such fields as opera. The center aims at working to improve the quality of life and invigorating regional society through culture and the arts.

Aims

In this course,students can learn not only about regional cultures but also about the theory and practice of the arts,mainly music,fine arts and dance, together with art management

CONTENT OF STUDY

  • Theories and practice of the arts centering on music, fine arts and dance.
  • Planning and management of music concerts,art exhibitions,theater performances.
  • Creating and publicizing the arts,together with necessary management skills.

FUTURE CAREER PATHS

Government employment,civil servant, culture foundation staff member, Culture NPO (Non-Profit Organization) staff member, international exchange coordinator, Private corporation or company (mass media, publishing, publicity, advertising, travel, tourism, software, education, cultural facility management,event coordinator,etc.),Art gallery or museum expert, Graduate school

Activities

The Art Center was established as an academic institute within the Faculty of Regional Sciences in order to carry out research and education with the goal of the promoting culture and the arts.

 

 

 

 

The Center provides classes on culture and the arts (art, music, dance) both for the Faculty of Regional Sciences and for the university as a whole. In addition, it aims to promote culture and the arts through the following three core areas:

Basic Research - investigating the meaning of regional culture and arts, and discovering neglected artistic and cultural resources in local regions.

Support and Training - providing guidance in the field of culture and the arts for succeeding generations.

Information and Exchange - creating a venue for regional exchanges through artistic and cultural activities.

Local Contributions: studying in a specific locality and returning the results to the community
